On the Basic plan, Shopify Payments charges 2% + €0.25 for standard online card transactions, 3.1% + €0.25 for international or American Express online cards, and 1.7% for in-person card transactions, excluding VAT. The €24/month Basic plan price (billed yearly) is included separately.
Do I need a Shopify subscription to use Shopify Payments?
Yes. Praghas models the Basic plan; higher Shopify plans (Grow, Advanced, Plus) come with lower card rates.
Does Shopify charge extra if I don't use Shopify Payments?
Yes — using a third-party payment gateway instead of Shopify Payments adds a per-transaction fee, which Praghas does not model.
Is Shopify Payments online only?
No. Praghas includes the Basic plan's online and in-person card rates. Shopify POS hardware, apps and non-card payment methods are not included.
